Launch of the Arbiter Global Emerging Markets Fund on the Independent UCITS Platform

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Arbiter Global Emerging Markets Fund as the third sub-fund of the Independent UCITS Platform, a Luxembourg SICAV. The fund, lead-managed by John Pollen of Arbiter Fund Managers Limited in London, will invest primarily in companies listed and operating in emerging markets and economies, and may also invest in companies listed on developed markets which have significant exposure to emerging countries
The fund, which was launched on 17th June 2013, is open to institutional investors, and offers both US Dollar and Euro denominated share classes.
John Pollen, lead manager of the fund, is an experienced portfolio manager who has lived and worked in London, Dublin, Asia and Africa, and has focuses on the fast growing emerging markets and economies for over thirty years. He uses an investment philosophy and process which is based on top down country allocation and bottom up stock selection, with an emphasis on achieving absolute returns.
