The Independent UCITS Platform is a Luxembourg domiciled UCITS IV SICAV (Societe d'Investment a Capital Variable) regulated by the CSSF (Luxembourg's financial regulator).

The Platform provides a relatively straightforward and cost effective solution for boutique managers seeking to launch UCITS funds under their own brand names, without undergoing the time and expense of creating a new SICAV.

Managers are able to launch sub-funds quickly and economically, with their own branding and distribution arrangements, and then concentrate on managing their assets and their business.

The Airlie Select U.S. High Yield Fund (“the Fund”) was launched on 26 February 2013 on the Independent UCITS Platform.  The Fund launch is sponsored by Spring Capital Partners Limited, the distributor for the Fund.

The Fund is advised by Airlie Opportunity Capital Management LP, (“Airlie”) who are based in Greenwich, CT USA, and invests primarily in U.S.-listed non-investment grade corporate bonds and floating rate notes issued by small to mid-cap companies.  To maximise risk-adjusted returns, the portfolio will be focused on a balanced mix of small to mid-cap credits, being overweight defensive sectors and select sound businesses with straightforward capital structures and focusing on the B and CCC rated credits typically overlooked by larger asset managers while including select BB names. The Fund is targeting a distributable yield of greater than 8%.

Richard Thompson, Director of Spring Capital Partners Limited said “We are very pleased to announce the launch of this Fund which provides a unique opportunity for European investors to take advantage of Airlie’s specialised expertise in this niche segment of the market.”
