The Independent UCITS Platform is a Luxembourg domiciled UCITS IV SICAV (Societe d'Investment a Capital Variable) regulated by the CSSF (Luxembourg's financial regulator).

The Platform provides a relatively straightforward and cost effective solution for boutique managers seeking to launch UCITS funds under their own brand names, without undergoing the time and expense of creating a new SICAV.

Managers are able to launch sub-funds quickly and economically, with their own branding and distribution arrangements, and then concentrate on managing their assets and their business.

Independent UCITS is pleased to announce the launch of its second Luxembourg-based UCITS platform. The new platform is called the Independent UCITS Platform (Luxembourg) II and uses KBL as custodian and administrator, and EFA as the administrator.

The platform has launched with two sub-funds, both managed by InvestQuest Capital LLP, a UK-regulated investment firm.

  • InvestQuest Global Absolute Return Fund: the fund follows an absolute return strategy seeking to generate returns that are independent of the market overall performance and seeks to diversify the risk by investing in a broad range of strategies with different investment styles. The Fund is a fund of funds which will invest mainly in UCITS which use alternative strategies (generically known as alternative UCITS) and Other UCIs offering hedge fund strategies such that its returns have low volatility and correlation to the market returns.
  • InvestQuest Global Bond Fund: the fund invests in global bond markets and seeks to provide a target return of 7% per annum with an annualised volatility of 5% per annum over the long term. The capital growth objective is combined with a lower correlation target with the global bond markets, compared with other long bias strategies in order to provide capital preservation.
